Description:
Historic and projected UK household and population numbers in thousands Three datasets:
UK_households.csv Number of households per year in thousands
UK_population.csv UK population in thousands
UK_population_households.xls Both combined plus calculated number of persons per household
Data developed by the Defra MTP from ODPM (now DCLG) figures, interpolated between 1991 and 2001 to account for 2001 Census data. Population projections in the period 2003 to 2021 have been linearly interpolated from five-years interval projections by UK government. For further information see BNXS25 UK household and population figures, 1970-2020, Version 2.1 (updated 12/1/2007)
